DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS ON A SUB-MICROSECOND AND MICROSECOND PARALLEL PULSE COMPRESSOR CIRCUIT

We report some considerations on the design of a parallel magnetic pulse compressor, including the circuit equivalence condition, the ohmic loss estimation of the magetic core material and the influence of the core geometry on its saturation time. In particular, we describe the case of a one-stage saturable transformer compressor and present the parameter selection criteria and some experimental results. [References: 24]
