M.N.V. Ravi Kumar is Full Professor of Drug Delivery at the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Science, University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, UK. His projects are centred on the interface between the pharmaceutical and biomaterial sciences at the nano- or macro-scale to prevent, manage or treat diseases. His research in drug delivery has won him numerous awards including the British Pharmaceutical Conference Science Medal, UK (2009), Tom Gibson Memorial Award by British Society of Plastic Surgeons & the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, UK (2008), Indian National Science Academy (INSA) Medal for Young Scientist, India (2007). He was awarded Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship, Germany (2002). He is member of several international advisory boards and societies, editorial board member of several journals such as Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Cancer Nanotechnology, Therapeutic Delivery.
