Performance assessment according to IEC 1083-2 standard of a wavelet packet transform based method for measuring the parameters of high voltage impulses

摘要

Measurement of the parameters of high voltage (HV) impulses through a wavelet transform based method is dealt with here. Most attention is focused on assessing the performance of the method according to IEC1083-2 standard. All the results obtained from the analysis of the waveforms contained in the standard are given and discussed. Furthermore, the results of tests carried out on actual waveforms are also presented.
