In June, Ian M, Kay, longtime leader of the Cast Metals Institute (CMI), stepped down from his position as Vice President of Education/Secretary. He will continue his affiliation with CMI on a contractual basis by providing assistance in course development and instruction. Mark B. Nagel will take over as the head of CMI as Director of Education/Secretary. Kay received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Vocational Education from the Univ. of Wisconsin-Stout. He worked as a laboratory technician for Eastern Hills Laboratories and Bio/Systems Research Laboratory for five years. Later, he was employed by his alma mater as a supervisor of the metallurgical and machine tool laboratories. Kay became Assistant Director of CMI in May 1976. In 1983, he was promoted to Vice President of Education/Secretary.
