Woman Seeks Relief, Release Of Data From Federally Funded Lead Study

A Pennsylvania woman on Nov. 5 sued the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and other agencies in federal court, seeking declaratory relief from new lead air quality standards because the agency relied on a federally funded study to make its conclusion that those standards should be reduced by 90 percent. She also contends that the EPA violated the Freedom of Information Act by refusing to provide information relevant to its decision (Amy K. Pohl v. U.S. Environmental Protection Act, et al..
