Adrenal/Molecular Steroidogenesis 2006 (AMS 2006), a joint meeting of The Conference on the Adrenal Cortex and the Workshop on Molecular Steroidogenesis, was held in Boston, MA from June 20-23,2006 as a Satellite Symposium of the 88th Annual Meeting of the Endocrine Society (Endo 2006). The Conference on the Adrenal Cortex has met biennially since 1984 under the continuing leadership of Alexander C Brownie. Previous meetings had been held in Buffalo, NY (see Davis et al, 1984-1985), Newport Beach, CA (see Davis et al., 1986), New Orleans, LA (see Davis et al., 1989), Avignon, France (see Saez et al.., 1992), Ardmore, OK (see Brownie et al., 1995), Perthshire, Scotland (see Brownie et al,., 1996) Orford, Canada (see Brownie et al.., 1998), Toronto, Canada (see Brownie et al., 2000), San Francisco, CA (see Brownie et al., 2002), and New Orleans, LA (see Brownie et al.., 2004).
