CPSC Issues Recalls For Toys, Children's Items And Holiday Figurines

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), in cooperation with four manufacturers and/or retailers, on Dec. 6 issued several recalls of toys and children's items that contain lead paint. Sunglasses FGX International Inc. of Smithfield, R.I., recalled 260,000 pairs of children's sunglasses that were found to have been painted with lead-based paint. The 15 styles identified as hazardous are Balloon, Bond, Boom, Bubble Gum, Bullseye, Buzz, Conqueror Jr., Curly Q., Encompass Jr. IK, Fade IK, Gadget IK, Iceman, Lily, Outer Space and Pluto.
