We were really happy to be able to organize the first international symposium on "Gonadal and Nongonadal Actions of LH/hCG" in Turku, Finland, June 3-4, 2005 One of the major themes of this meeting was to increase the awareness of the human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) and luteinizing hormone (LH) use in reproductive medicine; on cancer prevention, progression or treatment, and also to analyze its/their involvement and implications in gonadal and nongonadal tumorigenesis, We have tried to combine both basic science and clinical research on gonadal and nongonadal actions of hCG/LH actions.
