abstract_textpThis article aims to review the cost of production and to estimate the expectations of returns and risks associated with the agribusiness of honey in the Plateau North of Santa Catarina State - Brazil. Emphasis is given to investment, production costs, profitability and the risks of this agribusiness. It was collected information from the production of honey in 64 hives. The method for collecting information was field research and interviews. These enabled the construction of the discounted cash flow for a horizon of 10 years and to estimate two set of indicators. The first set (VPL, VPLa, IBC and ROIa) objectives to improve the perception of returns. The second set (TMA/TIR, Pay-back/N, Management Risk and Business Risk) objectives to improve the perception of risk. The indicators calculated pointed out to a low profitability and low risk as well./p/abstract_text
