Alliance Polymers adds compounding capabilities

Alliance Polymers & Services LLC (APS) has created the APS Compounding unit, purchasing two twin-screw extruders in part to help support its distribution agreements with BASF for Elastollan TPUs (thermoplastic polyurethanes) and Polymax Maxelast for its styrenic block copolymer (SBC)-based thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs). An APS spokesperson told MPW that the lines will be installed at its Romulus headquarters, after consideration of several possible locations.
