MPW: How has market and consumer interest in sustainability affected the way you design custom con-tainers?Leiden: We've led a move to sustainability for probably the last 20 years.Some of the oldest products we have would be one-quart motor oil bottles that go back to the mid 1980s.In most cases,every year we try and lightweight,and this was well before there was even the word "sustainability." We did it as a way to help our customers lower costs or to improve the structure.Sometimes lighter is better,you don't need heavy because yon can do it lighter with a better structure.
