Moderate temperatures,large discoveries,and improving inventories are brightening the outlook for natural gas prices.In the U.S.,prices in late August ranged from 5 to just over 6/million BTU,down from record highs of 14/million BTU one year ago after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita affected gas extraction and shipments in the Gulf of Mexico.
