Primary evaluation of the kneading properties of plastic materials is conventionally conducted using a batch mixer(with volume of say 60 cc).However this method is totally differed from a completely intermeshing co-rotating twin-screw extruder.Even if similar kneading blocks are employed in the batch mixer,position change will not occur unless a conveying function is present and it is therefore impossible to obtain the same kneading properties as a twin-screw extruder.
