A quarter of this was consumed in North America,18% in Western Europe,but what is remarkable are the consumption figures for China (25%) and the rest of Asia-Pacific (19%),which clearly indicate the continuing high demand for PVC in these regions.China,as a result,consumed almost 5.8 million tonnes,slightly more than did Western Europe.
