Little-known government grant helps processor keep improving

The purchase of CEPS Inc., founded in 982 in West Lebanon, NH, was a way for the couple to return to New England, where they had family, explained Jim Umland, president of the company. While the first year wasn't anything to shout about, CEPS had a modest 2% growth in 2002. But CEPS has just completed its fifth consecutive year of double-digit growth in 2007, and Umland, whose wife Ellen serves as CFO, expects to continue that trend.
