Flexible filler-neck hoses for automotive fuel systems need to withstand crash impact without fracture and fuel leakage.A typical practice of producing such applications was to weld a plastic filler pipe directly onto the fuel tank,but this method is less flexible and the pipe is easily detached at impact.Automotive supplier Nolato Sunne(Torekov,Sweden)says it has devised a better way of manufacturing filler-neck hoses to meet evaporative emissions legislation and provide both flexibility and durability.
