The prospects for biodegradable polymers are imporving,niche markets emerge,dedicated and cost-efficient plants,come on stream,and properties of the mater rials begin to approximate those conventional polymers like ps and PP.The trials that plagued those the initial generation of biodegradables,including liability suits and degradation deficits,are fading.In Europe especially,legislation is also being bent in favor of wider use of biodegradable packging materials.
