They can be used alone,combined together,or included with other monomers resulting in polymers with properties from soft and flexible to stiff and hard.Acrylics are best known for their high transparency,good optics,surface hardness,chemical resistance,and ability to withstand weathering.Their transparency is comparable to that of crystal,but at approximately half the density.Acrylics process into fibers,film,profiles,tubes,and sheets.It is supplied to processors in granules for extrusion,calendering,(sheet or film),or injection molding (parts).They can also be employed as a solution for coatings or basic elements in paints and adhesives.
