Solvay exits PE,adds more PVC

Solvay (Brussels,Belgium) has sold its half of joint venture BP Solvay Polyethylene to partner BP (London).The deal,for an undisclosed sum,depends on anti-trust approval.BP becomes sole owner of both the European and North American operations,which concentrate on production of high-density polyethylene (HDPE).
