PUR systems gain favor for auto interior skins

Spray technologies were pioneered in(he'90s by Brussels-based Recticel,whose Spray system is still the clear market leader(it recently forecast sales for 2006 of pound230 million,five times more than in 2001).But rival technologies developed by other processors are now gaining acceptance at major carmakers.In August,Intier Automotive Inc.(Newmarket,ON,Canada) granted a license to automotive supplier Toyoda Gosei Co.Ltd.(Nagoya,Japan) to use its PUR-Fect Skin technology.Toyoda Gosei will first use it for an instrument panel for an undisclosed Japanese vehicle.
