Technological advance have always pressured processors to upgrade their operations,and this was indeed the case at Australian firm U.P.Industries (Braeside) back in the mid-1990s.Technical director Mani Riederich had built the company up from scratch since 1984 as a pattern maker,and subsequently fabricator of composite and steel tools for rein-forced reaction injection molding (R-RIM) and injection molding.The rapid decline of pantography due to the advent of CNC machining saw business begin to drop off sharply.
