An 1880 Garrett Stationary Engine: Anthony Mount introduces his new stationary steam engine

I am always looking for new prototypes of stationary engines and when a friend sent me an engraving of an engine built by Garrett's of Leiston, I thought it would make a great looking model. In collaboration with Cotswold Heritage, I decided to make this Garrett the next in their established series of drawings and castings for model engineers. Garrett's are renowned for their traction and portable engines but, like many other Victorian manufactures, they made a wide range of products and amongst them were stationary engines of different types. Our engine is interesting in that it used portable/traction engine 'parts' from which to make a stationary engine.
