I wanted a set of lamps for my 4 inch Ruston Proctor SD traction engine. I wanted them to be reasonably authentic in appearance and to be fully-functional oil lamps. The starting point was to hit the rally trail, camera in hand, searching out lamps on full size engines. The ones I decided on were a set of Eli Griffiths lamps (I've never found out the model of these) spotted on an engine at the Haddenham Steam Rally. Well, that was the easy bit!
