Reader Colin Binnion has sent details of another supplier of miniature ignition coils. This will be of particular interest to model aircraft builders because the coils operate on 2.4 - 3V and measure 0.75in. diameter by 1.25in. long making them ideal for use where space is at a premium. The quoted weight is 1.16oz. (2.22oz including two AAA size batteries).
