Like a lot of model engineers today I have a milling machine that uses standard slot drills and end mills but I didn't have a way to sharpen them. Recently a friend built the sharpening jig described by A. Longworth in Model Engineers' Workshop starting on page 41 of the December/January 1992 magazine. This describes a jig to grind the end faces on slot drills and end mills and is recommended reading.
