Second period-doubling in a three-dimensional system

摘要

A study was carried out focusing on the second period-doubling bifurcation. By introducing a suitable form of periodic solution at the first-order multiple scale expansion, two algebraic solutions were derived leading to an approximation of the first and the second period-doubling bifurcations. The resulting analytical procedure simultaneously provides the two bifurcations.
