Wind Power Works as Low-Cost CPP Compliance

The United States currently does not have a nationwide policy to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) missions. However, in June 2014, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed a new regulatory action to do just that. The Clean Power Plan (CPP) is the Obama administration's proposal to set carbon-emissions standards for existing power plants. At the risk of being overly simplistic, the CPP aims to reduce carbon emissions from existing power plants. Because wind energy emits no CO2 while generating electricity, wind power is likely to grow, in part, due to the CPP.
