摘要

The establishment and monitoring of 4 Dimensional GeodeticDatum throughout Turkey is the basic mission of GeneralCommand of Mapping under its responsibilities. Geodeticactivities mainly involve the development of existing TurkishNational Fundamental GPS Network (TUTGA), establishmentof new stations and maintenance of Turkish Permanent GPSNetwork (TUSAGA) and Turkish Sea Level Monitoring System(TUDES), and the achievement of new Turkish Geoid -2007. Dueto the active tectonic deformation, episodic GPS measurementshave been performed at some TUTGA and National ConventionalHorizontal Control Network sites. The data have been handledto interpret the horizontal displacements in the country. Consider-ing the real-time positional information requirement of the usersin mapping and surveying applications, new project under thename "Continuously Operating Reference Stations-Turkey;CORS-TR" has been initiated with the collaboration of IstanbulCultural University, General Directorate of Land Registry andCadastre and General Command of Mapping (GCM).
