The national territory of Spain is uniformly covered (IGNE,2005) by the GPS/leveling sites (Fig. 1). The mean diameterof the area is about 750 km, so the resolution of EGM96is about 0.046 m (NRC, 1997) and the methodologydescribed in (BURSA et al., 1999, 2002) can be applied.
