Exploration and mining in malaria areas will be with us until the last parasite has died in the last mosquito. The female mosquito becomes infected with a malaria parasite and then passes it on to humans when she feeds on their blood. Some mosquitoes prefer to feed indoors and some outside. Most of those that carry malaria feed at dusk and dawn, but some do not keep regular hours.
