UK-listed independent Heritage Oil has received a takeover offer from an unnamed Abu Dhabi-based company, the Financial Times (FT) reported on March 16 2011, quoting an unnamed source. The Emirati investor reportedly offered GBp425 per share. However, Heritage's management is reported to have rejected the offer, which valued the explorer at GBP1.2bn.
