YUTAV97 TEN YEAR BUILDING A BRIDGE TO THE (MIDDLE)EAST

The poultry industry in the Middle East is meeting in Istanbul for the 1Oth year now at the International Poultry Exhibition Yutav. The show is going to take place from May 14-17 in Istanbul. This city on the Bosphorous has always been the main port between two continents and still plays an important role in international business between (Middle) East and West. Ten years ago Yutav started as a small national show in Istanbul. Meantime is has developed into a show of international/regional importance. The name Yutav is composed of the first syllables of the words Poultry and Eggs in Turkish. In 1987, when the exhibition was held for the first time, 25 companies presented their wares and services on a floor space of 400 m2. Last year the show attracted over 90 direct exhibitors and many more indirect at a 2,000 m2 floor space. Because of the increase in exhibitors and the floor space needed the show will move from the FM Exhibition Centre to the Chamber of Shipping's Sahpazam Exhibition Complex in Istanbul. The new location offers some advantages; a bigger complex, easy transportation, a private parking lot, and located within the hotel district.
