STRONG 4TH QUARTER PUSHES FUEL ETHANOL OUTPUT TO RECORD HIGH

Fuel ethanol production in Germany in Oct/Dec 2014 was at an all-time high of 276 mln litres, official data showed. The record result can be attributed to improved grain crushing margins and a long sugar campaign with high yields. Fuel ethanol production from wheat stood at 60 mln litres, the highest since Jan/Mar 2012, that from sugary feedstock at an all-time high of 103 mln, exceeding the Q4 2011 record. The grains share fell to 61% from 64%.
