SUGARCANE CRUSH HARDLY CHANGED IN CENTRE/SOUTH IN DECEMBER 2013-UNICA

Sugar mills in Brazil's key Centre/South region crushed 17.812 mln tonnes of sugarcane in the first half of December, up a fractional 1.4% from 17.562 mln in the same period a year ago, Unica data showed. Sugar production dropped by 19.2% to 844,000 tonnes in the period under review from 1.044 mln a year ago, with ethanol output up 9.1% at 805 mln litres from 738 mln.
