Asclepius, in Greek mythology, was a son of the god Apollo and Coronis, a beautiful maiden of Thessaly. Apollo sent Asclepius to the centaur Chiron to be raised, from whom he learned all about the art of healing - Asclepius soon became a greatphysician. The French company Askle has derived its name from this Greek god of medicine, aiming to provide comfort for sick, bedridden and elderly people. Founded in 1988 by Mr. Albert Sebag, Askle today is one of Europe's leading suppliers ofsore-preventing mattresses, cushions, and related products.
