SUGAR CAMPAIGN STARTS TO SLOW DOWN

The sugarcane crush in the Centre/South fell to below 40 mln tonnes in the first half of September indicating that production of both sugar and ethanol is past its peak. This was down 7.4% year-on-year and was largely in line with market expectations.
