Established in 1950, Amer Group has been known as a diversified industrial company, involved in a wide range of businesses. During the past decade, however, the Finnish Group has undergone significant structural change and divested its non-core activities. A historic milestone in 2004 was the complete withdrawal from the tobacco business which marked the company's origins more than half a century ago. Today, Amer focuses entirely on sports. It is now a 100% sports equipment company that has set itself the goal of becoming the world leader in its field. Representing four highly recognised brands - Wilson, Suunto, Atomic, and Precor - the Group is getting closer to its demanding target every day.
