Alcoholes del Uruguay (ALUR) has completed its biodiesel plant in Capurro in the Montevideo region. The facility has an annual production capacity of around 55,000 tonnes. The company invested $15 mln. ALUR in 2009 had started operations at its first plant, also in Montevideo, which currently has an annual production capacity of 45,000 tonnes.
