FGVH MULLS BUYING SECOND BIODIESEL PLANT

Plantation conglomerate Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd (FGVH) is in negotiations to acquire SPC Biodiesel Sdn Bhd, an idled biodiesel plant in Lahad Daru, Sabah owned by Sterling Biofuels International Ltd., possibly for MYR30 mln ($1=MYR3.17). FGVH's interest in SPC Biodiesel comes at a time of a revival of the country's once stagnant biodiesel industry.
