JBG ETHANOL PLANT OPERATES AT 90% OF CAPACITY

Jamaica Boilers Group Ltd. said its dehydration plant in Port Esquivel ramped up production to approximately 90% of its capacity under tolling contracts. The company reported total revenue from its ethanol division of JMD733.4 mln ($1=JMD90.16) for the six months ended October 27, 2012, down from JMD769.4 mln one year earlier. The segment result fell to JMD-7.5 mln from JMD52.1 mln. However, it has to be added that the segment result reflects a positive JMD42 mln for the most recent quarter, and the deficit has been reduced q/q from JMD-49 mln.
