Austrian food company Agrana said revenues in its starch division benefited from higher sales prices in all products and rising sales volumes for fuel etha-nol. Mar/Aug 2011 revenue rose 42% on the year to EUR387.7 mln. The company for the Jun/Aug 2011 quarter reported EBITDA amounting to EUR20.0 mln, down from EUR21.9 mln one year earlier. The company said grains use for fuel ethanol production in HI 2010/11 (Mar/Feb) rose to 270,000 tonnes from 252,000 with approximately equal proportions of wheat and corn. The processing of wet corn began in September and will amount to around 60,000 tonnes.
