Sugar production in Brazil's Centre/South during the second half of February reached 41,000 tonnes, tel quel, up from 16,300 in the same period a year ago but down from 59,300 tonnes in the first half of the month, the Sugarcane Industry Association (Unica) said. This brought total sugar output so far in the 2009/10 season to 28.53 mln tonnes compared with 26.70 mln produced in the same period a year ago.
