A rather slow draw down on ethanol stocks during the second half of March allowed the Brazilian industry to start the new season on April 1, 2016 with sufficient supplies. Overall inventories in the Centre/South fell by just 600 mln litres to 1.346 bln. This compares with decreases of over 1.1 bln litres last year and almost 900 mln in 2013/14.
