GUARANI CUTS 2015/16 CANE CRUSH PROJECTION

Sugar and ethanol producer Guarani, a unit of Tereos Internacional, said it will crush less cane than originally expected in 2015/16 (Apr/Mar). The company's latest outlook is for a crush of 19.7 mln tonnes, down from a previous estimate of 20.0-20.5 mln and 20.2 mln in 2014/15. The company pointed to unfavourable weather conditions and the current economic situation. Strong rainfalls in recent months prompted mills to halt operations.
