Base metals retreat on growing investor caution

Base metals prices trading on London Metal Exchange (LME) opened on Monday (2nd July) with bullish trend and stepped back from Friday's (29th June) highs in trading on Monday following the announcement of poor Chinese data over the week-end that put the brakes on the relief rally- June's purchasing manufacturing in China dropped to 50.2 from 50.4 earlier due to falling orders.
