ICSOBA--a pithead for bauxite, Al exploration, exploitation

The International Committee for the study of Bauxite, Alumina and Aluminium (ICSOBA) was established in f 963 by the former Yugoslav, now Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts, in Zagreb, Croatia at the initiative of Professor Miroslav Karsulin, the then General Secretary of the Academy in Zagreb. Hungarian scientists and experts and the Hungarian Mining and Metallurgical Society (OMBKE) have played an active role in the organization of various activities of the Committee, right from its inception. The objective of ICSOBA is to promote exchange of ideas and results of studies in different fields of research related to bauxite exploration and exploitation, and alumina and aluminium production.
