ZF Hero opens new Plant in Chennai: to assemble chassis modules for BMW

ZF Hero Chassis Systems Pvt.Ltd. the 50:50 JV of ZF India Pvt.Ltd. and Hero Motors Ltd.formally inaugurated a new plantin Oragadam, Kanchipuramdistrict on the outskirts ofChennai city on September 25,2015. The new facility willassemble front and rear chassissystems for passenger cars. Ithas a plot size of 7,200 (approx.75,000 Sq. feet) square meters.In accordance with the local-forlocalconcept, ZF Hero wants toprovide its customers withproducts from local productionwherever possible. Equally,design-to-market considerationsplay an important role in thisregard. ZF engineers are locatedin the new plant in order tospecifically meet therequirements of its customers.
