Tata Steel can feel good aboutthe resumption of iron oredispatches from its Jharkhandmines. Analysts believe iron orecosts will fall by as much as Rs7,000 a tonne. Tata Steel hasbeen procuring ore at Rs 8,700-9,300 a tonne, versus extractionvalue of Rs 1,800-2,200 a tonne.The development will bringdown costs substantially.Analysts at Geojit BNP Paribashad said if the Jharkhandcaptive operations did notresume after the second quarter,estimates for FY16 and FY17earnings per share (EPS) couldfall further to losses of Rs 11.4and Rs 19.4, respectively.
