Copper steadied in She official session on the London Metal Exchange (LME) OR Friday (May 4) after a morning of erratic price movements which saw the metal bounce in a 200 dollars range. Gold regained some ground lost on Friday to hit fresh 25-year highs on the back of the continued weak US dollar. The yellow metal fixed at 682 dollars per oz in the morning, a 25-year high, before slipping to 678 dollars in the afternoon on Friday, after fixing at 664.65 dollars and 673.50 dollars per oz in the morning and afternoon respectively. Gold saw a sell-off on Thursday as falling oil prices forced many funds to drop their gold positions.
