SAIL in talks with Kobe for ITmk3 technology

Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), which is looking for the best technologies from all around the world, is in talks with Japan's Kobe Steel for a technology deal. In a recent interview, Union steel minister Virbhadra Singh said, "We are looking for the best technologies in the world. We want to get ITmk3 to our country. SAIL may form a joint venture with Kobe." He said the talks were at a preliminary stage and the ministry will make announcement in the coming months.
